Goddang, the transitions and the effects were amazing! Incredible job! <3 when is the sequel

Bleak-Creep responds:

Probably no sequel, but I might update at some point and add in some little background tidbits you can branch off with at some point. I really wanted to do that originally, but then it took me this long for the main story.

that really was a pikachu dreams (ditto)

oppa coca style!

anyone wanna hang out some time and make out on top of the gay flag?

great game! sadly, there's no alternate ending or reward for completing a pacifist run, so i'm gonna have to knock off 2 stars for that.

i aimed for 69 and when i got it another bitch spawned right on top of me upping the score to 70, this game is poopoo doodoo

Taka responds:

THAT HAPPENS TO ME IRL ALL THE TIME!!!!

WVDB responds:

Spontaneous bitch reproduction is a bug that our team is currently trying the patch. Thank you for bringing our attention to this issue.

This is genuinely so cool, just oozing with so much charm and personality and attention to detail! The general atmosphere is just an excellent blend between cute, creepy and just plain weird. I loved all of it. The graphics are top-notch, nothing felt like it was lacking or not as good as anything else in the game. I loved the 3D cutscenes for picking up an item, feels so weird yet adds so much charm! The audio is also excellent, with the music being really soothing and the sound design adding so much life and punch to everything. I'm kinda sad most of the game was quiet, I would have loved to hear a bit more of the music!

The characters and general feel of the world is just so charming and weird, I really vibe with it. It feels so old-school, I had no idea what to really expect of anything and that made me want to interact with everything just to see what I'd find. You can tell that a lot of effort was put into this! The fridge puzzle I just adore, it's such a simple yet kinda stretched out puzzle, but it's so full of life and surrealism charm that I just love it despite it being such a small little segment.

Now, as much as I love the game... I really really did not like the combat. I like the sorta Punch-Out style of it, where you gotta block and strike at the right time. Defo feels like a puzzle instead of a straight "beat-the-crap-out-of-this-guy". But the execution feels kinda clunky. It's already a bit of a jarring genre shift from a laid-back puzzle/exploration game to a pretty demanding action game. I didn't like that you had to purposely run into attacks to properly block them, dodging wasn't an option like my character is super thin!! Why is their hitbox as wide as the entire screen?? Maybe my reflexes are just bad, but the first boss just felt really demanding in terms of skill, which again is jarring when the rest of the game is super laidback. If there's gonna be more of these fight sections, I'm honestly not looking forward to it... If there was a way to bypass these fights using exploration(find an item to distract the boss? bring a knife to a fist fight?) then that'd be coololololololololololoolololool

Despite harping on the combat, I really love this game! It's so charming, retro, soothing, creepy, weird and is just so full of life and character and it's exciting to see what else there is to be discovered! I'll defo try and back this game when I get $$$ and don't forget to donate........ Awesome job, Andy and Packtion!!!!

i spend the first 20 minutes being distracted by the soccer mini-game, i did well but then lost all my talent and then i was sad...........

Andyl4nd responds:

Thank you for putting the time into this review Peti!!

I'm sorry you had to go through the combat, I'll deeeefinitely add alternative methods on bypassing those segments for the people who aren't into it. However, I can't guarantee there won't be more frustrating optional objectives hehe.

I'm glad you liked it and I hope to work on the full version with these notes in mind!

australian border control is sweating rn

tho if i had to give any serious complaints, it's that the game can be a lil bit confusing at times. maybe i'm just dumb as hell, but i thought the timer running out("5, 4, 3, 2, 1!") was actually the game telling me to get ready. i was confused for a good while on why i kept failing almost instantly. a bomb ala warioware or even a clock would have probably been better, even if it was just to serve as the bg to the numbers (a bomb with a 5 counting down would be pretty clear lol)

plufmot responds:

Oh 100% The minigames also aren't as intuitive as I'd like. But oh well, making a game a week make brain go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

this was awesome, really cool 3d visuals that remind me a lot of older pc games. and it runs rly well too on browser!! awesome, well done!!
